Dear Lord, 

I come to you this evening because I am feeling weak. I’m feeling burnt out and I know you don’t want this for your children. Your promise is that if we come to you our burden will lighten and we will get rest. I’m hoping and praying for just that as I sleep tonight. 

I had a hard time communicating with some people today. When I’m tired I feel almost too weak to carry on conversation. I have a hard time answering lots of questions. This can agitate others. I get overwhelmed and feel satan pokes at my weaknesses. Weaknesses I thought I overcame but then they creep back in. Lord I will trust that anything I was not able to do in your favor today you carried for me in spirit. Our flesh will fail us but if we remain still the Lord fights for us and works to make our path straight again. 

The Challenge: 

Feeling weak? Sit and write a heartfelt letter to God. His burden is light!

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

I’ve been working to start and grow a small network moms group locally. I want this to be a in person group instead of a virtual group. Both have their pluses and minuses. It’s been several months, and now summer, so it has been challenging to grow the group and gain members. Sometimes, I get all prepared to arrive to a location only to have no one show up. Does this get me down? Yes, but today God showed me something sublime. 

Today a woman ive met one other time showed up. We had some great one on one bonding time. I do well working one on one with people anyway. Easier for me to focus. We were able to simply spend time with each other sharing ideas back and forth and releasing some burdens. This is true fellowship! 

The Challenge:

No matter if your felowshipping with one person or 500 in a room God loves to see the work begin. When you follow the spirit you trust he’s leading you to all the right places big, small or non at all he’s got your back,

It’s summertime now and I have been busy coaching some new clients, trying to be a good wife, maintaining our home and raising our children that I’m forgetting to take time alone to pray and reflect with God. This right here is my time with him. He keeps me on that road less traveled. 

So tonight, I took some much needed alone time to pray.  I worked to tap into my soul instead of listening to my racing thoughts and I felt the difference. My soul was almost speaking and then my brain would catch up. My brain has been racing lately thinking about all the things the world needs me to do but tonight my soul said, “Just Praise Thee!” Leading me straight to Isaiah 26:1. Then my deeper soul cried out to the Lord just wanting him to be closer. 

The Challenge: 

Your head may spin with thoughts but go deeper and discover what your inner being is working to say. It takes being calm, quiet and starting with telling the Lord, “I am here.”

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV

My friend Ann sent me a video the other day. I didn’t have much time to watch it all but something caught my attention. The pastor was speaking on how Satan will pin point and go after our weaknesses to get to us and take us down. 

This is so very true. Since we do not fight against people, but against the rulers of darkness in the world, we must acknowledge that he does in fact do this. By realizing your weaknesses you can combat his attacks with more effectiveness. But it’s not just about realizing them it’s also about owning up to your weaknesses as well. One of Satan’s greatest accomplishments is hitting people where they didn’t expect it or poking at a deep rooted topic they have been in denial about. Take a stand! Get to know your weaknesses and create a plan for the next time satan pulls you into a trap! 

The Challenge:

What are your weaknesses and how can you make a plan to rebuke Satan in his tracks the next time he lures you into a dark hole?

How beautiful are the feet of those who declare good news. Ronans 10:15

A few weeks ago me and my mom went to this cute little town called Loveland, Colorado. There is a Christian store there that I’ve been networking with. They have agreed to have my T-shirt line and Childrens book fearless Noah with capes on consignment. 

As I was there dropping off inventory I bought my son a wooden cross necklace and My daughter a beautiful flowered glass little cross she could hold in her hand. 

After we went to that store we strolled the streets and ate at our favorite charming little restaurant. Once we got back into the car my daughter cried because she was missing her cross. I went back into the restaurant and sure enough the waitress had it in her back pocket. It felt strange taking the cross back from this girl. I didn’t want to take it from her.  Luckily I had extra Purple Crosses in my purse and I replaced it! That actually made a big impact. 

The Challenge: 

Always find ways to share about Jesus. He can work miracles in the tiniest of ways.

Im feeling salty today. I saw a meme on Facebook today that said, “I don’t give any fucks.” Oh Lord forgive me for using this word but I got to in order to make a point! 

This seems to be a new and popular coined saying these days but it is crass and immature! I see Kim Kardashian use this saying when people tell her to stop posting nude sexy pics for all the world to see. 

Heres the truth! You do care! In fact people who say this care so much they are about to burst with passion Because they care so much! Be honest people! We are made to care! We are designed to care! Honesty will set you free but denial will set you far back! 

Do you think when Jesus came to the earth he said, “Im here, but I don’t give two fucks?” Seriously... Ummm no! He wouldn’t and you know why because he cared so much for all of us he took on the pain and burdens of this world! We are to follow him and yes we are to care too! 

The Challenges

The next time you feel you want to say the coined term, “I don’t give two fucks,” you remember that Jesus would never ever say this to you or anyone. Because he cared you shall care too!
