440 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*What is Unseen*
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

What do you see when you look at a paper towel roll?

Last night at dinner my 4 year old son gasped and started to point at the kitchen sink! He said, "Mom! Mom! Can I please have that telescope!" I looked over by the sink and had no idea what he was talking about. He said, "That telescope, right there!" I looked again and saw nothing. Then my husband said, "Oh, you mean the paper towel roll." My son said, "Yes, yes that thing!"
We laughed!

Faith is so much like this! Children see things so clearly but our prideful adult eyes can't always see. We have been told what faith looks like and how to obtain full grace but many look and choose not to see! Many see a paper towel roll when others can look at the cardboard paper and immediately see a telescope! It's not about what we physically see with our own eyes! It's more about what is unseen and what we believe we will see that truly matters!
The Challenge:
Go out into the world today with childlike eyes! Try to see what children see in the most ordinary of things! Blessings all around!

439 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Key to the Gate*
I am the gate whoever enters through me will be saved. John 10:9

I have discovered my purpose but I'm sure now more then ever what my distinct calling is. My purpose is to share about Jesus which is no shocker there 😉 but more specifically to share about the details of his life here on earth!
I asked Karla what gospels in the Bible are solely about Jesus! She said to start with Acts. I think for now narrowing my bible studies to Jesus life will help clarify things for me and therefore help me share the details of his life in more depth.
Reading Acts today I am fascinated by Jesus teachings. All through the Bible he makes it very very clear how to get to heaven! He never left us guessing! In Acts tonight it was all reconfirmed! We can all be filled with the spirit of the Holy Spirit and feel fully content as one in the body of Christ! Jesus says to Repent, be baptized and accept him as the son of God! That's the key to the gate!
The Challenge:
Since the path to heaven is narrow why take a chance? Ask for forgiveness and be baptized in Christ name! That will get you on that narrow path and more importantly the key to the gate of your salvation!

438 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*A Good Man*
"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven." Matthew 5:16

I had to go to my least favorite place this morning. Da da da....the post office! Ahhh!! Thanks to my renewed spirit in Christ I see goodness instead of annoyance. And I stay calm!
The line was so long and slow today. I watched many roll eyes and sighs in frustration. When I finally got up to the counter I thought the post office man would help me stamp my forty three envelopes of crosses to send out but no. So I stood there to the side stamping all the envelopes. I sat my two year old up on the counter and she was restless.
Just then goodness came. A man in a bright yellow coat came up and helped me stamp all the envelopes so I could get done faster. This man chose to make a good moment out of waiting in the long post office line. This man is a good example of finding good and good things to do for others in the most unlikely places.
I then of course gifted him with one of our Purple Crosses and thanked him for his good deed for the day!
The Challenge:
When others do a random act of kindness for you share a Purple Cross as a thank you and praise our fathers name!  This little Purple Cross has so much power, use it! 💜 #PurpleCrossMission

437 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Forever Children*
See how much our father loves us. For he calls us his children, and that is what we are.

We were all going around the Thanksgiving dinner table holding to our tradition of sharing what we are thankful for. When it came to my 4 year old sons turn he said the sweetest thing. He said he is thankful for God watching over us. I looked over at him smiling and was very proud!
My 2 year old daughter then said she wanted to give her pacifiers to baby Jesus. She then said, "Heaven!" It was so cute. So yes this weekend we are going to say good bye to her pacifiers and give them to baby Jesus.
My kids continue to surprise us with the little ways they know the Lord. It has been said that children are closest to God. People then drift but many times if a child is close to God they will return back to God when they are older. These are the moments I'm joyful that Jesus is whom my children look up to and desire to learn more.
The Challenge:
Were you close to God when you were younger? What made you feel close then? What made you feel distant from him? Knowing how we connected to God as a child is a good way to connect with him as an adult. God adores his children and we are forever children in Gods eyes!

436 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*He Cares*
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble James 4:6

I had an emotional moment in my car on the way to my parents for a Thanksgiving. I was all alone so I took the time to pray out loud and talk with God.
Do you know that praying for people when they don't know it is the largest form of love you can offer someone. I felt a push to pray for one of our friends. This person walks and talks as if the Holy Spirit guides them but he does not believe in God. I feel, like me, the Lord is very protective of this friend of ours. I just hope our friend wakes up and sees the Grace bestowed upon him before it's too late because I know God is waiting for this particular prodigal son.
I then began to cry! I thought, "Who am I?" How was I so fortunate to be a chosen one, one the Lord knows me by name and one the Lord picked out to be saved. It was a humbling moment. I felt special but God reminded me salvation was my choice; A choice all are given but few take.
The Challenge:
Being with the Lord is not a entitled right. Those who have chosen salvation are humbled and feel a sense of awe that the almighty Lord cares for their little soul.
435 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Taking Flight*
And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

I was asked last night by my brother in law how it all came about that I was saved. I told him that it was a mixture of feeling incomplete and feeling completely in awe of our Lord and all the prayers he answered for me.
My brother told me he remembered a time when I was going with the ways of the world and emerging who I was with the men that I dated. He was worried he offended me but I was not offended one bit. A part of my ministry work and shedding my cocoon is being completely vulnerable and honest with who I was and woman I am evolving to be.
My times as a caterpillar had expired and I accepted my wings at age thirty three!
Did you know that Jesus himself began his ministry at age thirty? Before then he was observing and preparing.  He too was once a caterpillar and when he finally felt ready he exploded out of his cocoon, was granted his wings and fulfilled a great prophesy of changing the world!
The Challenge:
A simple question - Are you slugging along observing like a caterpillar, preparing in your cocoon or are you fully now ready to evolve into a butterfly and take flight?

434 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Home is where heaven is!*
The world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Hebrews 13:14

I am going to share a secret that I have never told a living soul. I think I never told a living soul because one I was in denial it happened to me and two I knew no one would believe me.
One night at the age of 28, like many weekend nights in my 20's I drank way too much for my little body. I passed right out on my husbands chest (who was then my boyfriend) and blacked out. The next thing I knew I felt in a very far off place...  This place was amazing... I wanted to stay. I was not there long and as I started to come back from wherever I went the only thing I remember is that I didn't want to leave. All I could remember to share is that this place was so amazing I did not want to return.
Then I woke up gasping for air. I sat up and looked at my husband sleeping. I truly believe that night I had a near death experience and it was not one bit scary. I was told to share it's an amazing place of no pain and so much joy.
The Challenge:
Have you ever felt something heavenly happen to you but you weren't sure and so you kept it a secret? Secrets between you and God are sometimes the very best secrets to keep in your pocket.

433 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Be Polite*
Take delight in honoring each other. Romans 12:10

My two favorite numbers 43 and 33 combined into one as today is my 433 days saved. Today felt so peaceful. I felt so happy and in awe of the Grace God offers!
I was so proud of my children today. My son was so protective of my daughter at the museum. My daughter also was so polite saying please and thank you to all she came in contact with. My husband has been very diligent about teaching her manners and the importance of respecting others. My sister even said she is the most polite little two year old.
My husband and I smiled as we were proud but we also know how much of a diva she can be in the comfortable presence of our home. Sometimes that polite switch turns right off into a demanding side.
This got me thinking. We are often so polite and kind to the world but when the doors close we turn it all off. We demand things to our loved ones instead of offering politeness and honoring them. Sure it's nice to be comfortable but God wants us both comfortable and polite to the ones we care for the most!
The Challenge:
Do not become too comfortable in your home that you forget your politeness. The politeness you offer the world should be the same politeness you offer your family behind closed doors!

432 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Say No to the World*
"What ever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord not for men." Colossians 3:23

I saw this saying on my wall today:
"The number of followers you have does not make you more important. Hitler had millions. Jesus had twelve."

I think this quote says so much. In our culture things are being so misused, misunderstood and people are being misguided.
The popular thing to do is go with the ways of the world and pretend things aren't hurting people when they really are. When one chooses to say no to the world they will absolutely have less followers! They will be mocked! This may make one feel inadequate but Jesus never let it turn him against God. Jesus carried out his mission to share Gods grace. Even when spit in the face Jesus knew his worth was not found in submitting to mans requests but his greater value was found in submitting to the Lord and knowing the Lords guidance is all one needs!
The Challenge:
The world may say things are good for you. The world will entice you in by candy coating sin but the ones who say no to the world are the ones that discover true grace. They are the ones that lay shame to rest! Do you choose shame or grace? In your heart you know the difference.

431 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Salvation Produces Works*
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, Not of works. Ephesians 2:8-9

My Facebook friend Courtney posted this on her wall today.
"Salvation produces works, works do not produce salvation."

The thing I hear most, when people internally roll eyes at Jesus, is that we get to Heaven through being a good person and doing good things. This is where the enemy has created confusion. If this was the case one would go crazy wondering how many good works it takes to get to heaven. Here is the truth! There will never be enough good works for us to do to equate to what eternal bliss is valued at!
For this reason Jesus came for us. He is our light up on a hill! When salvation is gained by accepting Christ, as our savior, it is then our heart changes! It is then, not about saying to God, "God, I did all these things now you owe me eternal life." Rather one says,"Lord thank you, thank you, thank you for the gift of salvation. I'm humbled before you; now lead my way and show me what your will here on earth shall be!
The Challenge:
Are you trying to buy your way into heaven through good works or does your heart want to do good works because how humbling is the Grace God pours out unto your life?

430 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Shake off the Dust*
"And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave." Mark 6:11

So I've come to a place in my walk where I'm struggling with something. Now that the Lord has shared so much information with me it's hard to hold back sometimes. I suppose that's why the Lord gave me a career in sharing his name. (Wink)
I'm good with helping others who want to be helped but I'm still learning how to be reserved in my thoughts when they don't want help. You can lead the horse to the trough but can't make him drink... right?
God made me opinionated so I know I'm made to challenge thoughts and ideas. I'm okay if others don't accept what I say but I just want to be able to at least share my soul without feeling shut down. I know something I must work on! It's a journey!
Anyway I share this tonight because I know many feel this way. When you know Jesus you want all to know his distinct goodness! It's no comparison to anything out there on the market trying to lure your eye in.
The Challenge:
In those moments when you feel a push by God to share about him do not be dismayed when others shun you. Feeling like you did wrong for sharing truth about Christ is exactly how satan wants us to feel. The enemy wants us to feel ashamed. Time to shake the dust off your feet and move on forward!
429 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Purple Cross Mission*
"The Lord directs the steps of the Godly. He delights in every detail of their lives." Psalms 37:23

I was out the other night for my Birthday. I had a drink with my sister in law before heading to another restaurant. As we walked outside to grab our cab I noticed a young man screaming. His friend was trying to get him to get into the car but he seemed so traumatized.
Feeling directed by my father above I walked over to the car. There was two men trying to force the young man into the car and there was a woman driving. This would normally not be a situation I should get involved in but the Lord gave me the courage to approach them.
I asked what was going on. The young man cried out and said I don't want to get into that car. It appeared to be a toxic family issue. I truly had no idea who to believe or what to do but I did have one simple idea. I held out my hand and slipped the crying young man a Purple Cross. I figured I can't do to much here but Jesus sure can. I pray that single Purple Cross was the golden nugget to begin to work miracles in that mans life and in that mans heart!
The Challenge:
Feeling helpless?  Give it to God for his little cross has the power to save!

428 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*A Smart Gift*
"It is more blessed to give than receive." Acts 20:35

A few days ago I wrote and told you about a man named Wally. In our short time meeting the Holly Spirit graced our conversation. Wally shared several neat little stories with me but one has stayed in the front of my mind to share with all of you.
Wally and his church family help put together shoes boxes filled with fun items to send across seas. I believe it's called "The Shoebox Mission."
Last year when they delivered all the items the children were so thrilled. Some of these children live in desperate poverty stricken communities and have never even been given a gift before. One of the little boys was thrilled to find some candy amongst his box. He had a roll of smarty candies and was delighted for the first time to have something to share and offer someone else. He went up to the lady who was a part of the mission to offer her a piece of candy from his shoebox.
Wally said that the lady told the little boy, "No thank you," but after thinking on it realized she should have taken the piece of candy he offered because it was the first time, in the boys life, he had a gift to offer someone else.
The Challenge:
Be a part of the shoe box mission this  holiday season! A wonderful way to share Gods loving grace with impoverished children around the world.

427 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Sharing Jesus*
"Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth onto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14 KJV

The Lord is really growing me again. Sometimes he gives me space to figure things out and then when he's ready he shows me so much. I am excited to work my best to pour into you the wisdom he has shared with me.
It's my 35th Birthday today and today I also attended my husbands grandmothers funeral. Funerals sometimes make me uncomfortable because I never know what to pray for. I mean by the time God says it's time to go he's made up his mind if we made it to the kingdom, so yes sometimes I wonder what to pray for.
Today I pray that people do not wait until last minute to worry about if they are saved or not. The road is narrow but with Jesus he helps us find our way. Far too often people live life not thinking their judgement day will come but it will so it's best to be prepared.
The Challenge:
My husbands grandmother was 93 on Sunday when she past away. Last Christmas I asked his aunt if grandma accepted Jesus and she said grandpa was not sure if she did. I immediately felt the Holy Spirit say go get my cross. I ran into her bedroom to find a cross. Grandma was deaf so I sat with her and shared Jesus by having her hold his cross. She signed, "Oh yes Jesus" By sharing about Jesus we continue his legacy and our calling to not only get ourselves onto that narrow path but help to guide others onto that right road home as well.

426 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Purple Cross Mission*
"I will go before you and make the crooked places straight." Isaiah 45:2

We are traveling across country today to attend a funeral of my husbands grandmother. As we were traveling on the highway we noticed one of our tires was decreasing tire pressure at a rapid pace.
My husband was getting very concerned but I felt as though the Lord was leading us. We kept driving and found a tire place in Joliet, CO! The tire place was a chain type tire place called Good Year Tire. As we walked in this cross (pic posted) was very prominent in the store.
I felt as though God was leading me to share a Purple Cross. A man named Wally was sitting waiting on his car to get fixed. Very kind and gentle man. We got to talking and the Holy Spirit lead the conversation. I learned his son-in-law is studying to be a pastor, I learned Wally was a part of marriage counseling workshops, I discovered he helps with the shoebox mission and helps with a prayer message jar mission that is now around the world.
As I continued to talk with the man I knew God lead us into this very tire store just to meet Wally. I then shared our Purple Crosses with him. Wally said our crosses could fit perfectly with his message jar Mission. I'm not sure what God will do with this moment but I have a feeling something very special is evolving with our Purple Cross Mission.
The Challenge:
The Purple Cross has a way of making any situation seem like a positive one. We were feeling stressed about our tire needing patched but we used it as an opportunity to share stories about our beloved Christ! Don't stress just share about Christ! He quickly calms any storm! #TruthwithGrace

425 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Adding to the Nest*
"I will not cause pain without something new to be reborn, says the Lord." Isaiah 66:9

Something that has almost been therapy for me is using my child like faith to draw pictures with God. Sometimes these pictures can share how I'm feeling more than even words or talking can do.
I had this story come into my head and so I drew this picture. It is about a bird that lived in a nest and in the same tree as her best friend. One day the other bird told her she tweets too much and doesn't see things the same. As the bird flew west the bird said, "I must go but I'll always love you and wish you well." As her friend left the tree she watched her fly away. She said, "but wait," as a tear dripped down her feathered face. As she felt deeply saddened she looked to the east and she saw many birds coming her way. God had sent her a fleet of new birds to replace the one that left the tree. She tweeted happy tweets and felt content knowing God sent others to love her.
The Challenge:
When someone leaves your tree or nest know God will replace them with many more in order to heal your wonder heart.

424 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Stay a bit*
"Show your fear of God by standing up in the presence of elderly people and showing respect for the aged." Leviticus 19:32

It was one of those days yesterday where I knew I needed to get out. All the drama being played out on social media makes me want to retreat to the mountains.
I packed up my kiddos and headed up the mountain to Idaho Springs, CO! I love this peaceful sleepy mountain town. I always buy my favorite hand made soap, pick up a few little cross gifts and we eat ice cream. It's a dreamy way to spend the day!
As I walked down the sidewalk with my children we noticed an elderly woman sitting outside of the retirement home. I said hello.
Now normally I say hello and keep walking but the Holy Spirit said, "stay, sit down and enjoy her company." She gave my son a dime and my daughter a necklace. I thought we would make her day but her love made mine! We stayed for a bit and then as we said good bye I had my son give her a new Lavender soap I had just bought. It felt good to teach my children to enjoy Gods people instead of always passing them by.
The Challenge:
Try to stop rushing past people instead take time to meet them! God just may show you something incredible through that stranger you had planned to just walk by.

423 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Unconditional Love*
"Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12

I am absolutely shocked that with all that is happening around me I'm feeling strong still. I truly believe 423 Days ago God saved me because I needed to become tough for the times we are heading into. I need to be grounded so I can be of support to others. God is getting his people together quickly! In fact 1000's of Muslims have seen visions of Jesus and converted over to Christianity recently. And the Angels rejoice!
As the times are changing God is also placing the people around me that will be with me as we go into battle. I have lost a few friends this week due to politics. It hurt but what I have noticed is that God has sent many more to replace them. I'm finding people who are more like me and it feels good to find my people! God does not take something away unless something new is born.
The Challenge:
Have you ever lost friends do to your political or religious beliefs? They were loving you with conditions. This is an unsafe kind of love! Love unconditionally!

422 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Letting Go*
"Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:27

I'm feeling sad in this moment. I watched people completely turn on each other last night. This is not what God wants.

One of my very best friends of thirty years let me go as a friend  because of our different political views. She said if I don't vote her way and support her then she can't be my friend anymore. It's like a death to me.  Listen I'm sad but 422 days ago this would have ripped my heart out. I do not put my faith in people but in God above. He has truly strengthen my roots to weather these ugly storms.
Let me fill you in on a little secret. Me and my husband had different votes for presidents this year. Yesterday morning he still kissed me good bye! He still loves me!
I texted him last night saying this:
"I need you to know how proud I am that you are my husband. Facing people crap all over people over this election and shaming them for their vote. Thank you for not being a part of that movement."
He texted me back saying this:
"Love you. Even though we don't agree on everything.  Why would one want to be with someone who does?"
The Challenge:
Our differences are what makes us complete! Our differences are what makes us stronger and our differences are what challenges us to be better people! Gods intention is for his people to complete each other! Remember that the next time you easily dismiss a persons value to your life.

421 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*God has the Final Say*
"It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in man." Psalm 118:8

My children are in school this morning and I need to do so many things. I need to go for a run, clean house, work and work on a video for the Christmas concert at our church. As I felt pulled in way too many directions God said, "Come to me!" So here I am. Finding quiet refuge in his LOVING arms. The one I fully trust!

It's been a challenging time for America. Last night Donald Trump was elected 45th president of the United States. He went through deep waters and many challenges. No one thought he could do it, they shamed him, mocked him, laughed at him and yet he stands.
He has many many flaws but hate and revenge will not make him a better man for our country! In the midst of this I see friends posting things, crying out and bashing him along with shaming fellow friends for their vote, which is the right our country is founded upon! In the end please hear this, our strength is not found through a politician! Our steadfast love will not be seen in calling our new president names.
The Challenge:
Love thy neighbor and do not put your faith into politicians but instead get down on your knees today and give your prayers to the one true King, Jesus Christ, the only one who truly hears our cries! Please offer Prayers for our new president and trust God has the final say in everything here on earth! God shared the rainbow to say all will be okay and it is no different here! All will be okay just TRUST our Lord!

420  Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Purple Cross Mission*
"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord. And he will repay him for his deed." Proverbs 19:17

Today me and my family went to a restaurant for lunch in the city. While my children played on the play equipment we noticed a young girl in her twenties going around and asking for someone to buy her lunch. Most people said no. When she got to us I asked my husband if I could help her and he said it was up to me.
I had these flashes of Lot from the Bible. He chose to help two angels disguised as men. Because Lot helped them they rewarded him by saving his family as they were about to destroy the corrupted city. We just truly never know if we are being tested but my heart said help and so I did.
When we went up to the cash register the girl took advantage of my kindness and ordered so much I had to say, "okay I think that's good." Lol! I ended the moment by giving her Purple Crosses and saying lunch was on Jesus today, not me!
The Challenge:
Sure we can't help everyone but when we are asked to help we should try to offer something even if it's as simple as a prayer upon their life. God will watch you and say, "That was good."

419 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Take His Hand*
*God will hear your cry. He will lift you out of the pit of despair." Psalm 40: 1-2

I've been so deep this week. Deep in a good way. I feel at peace and very connected to God this week. I asked for a stronger connection and he's giving it to me.
I was going about my normal mom duties around the house when I had a vision the Lord wanted me to share. It was of a woman clinging desperately to a cliff. I could see the universe and God was in control of everything.
Beneath the girl was a fiery pit of despair. Satan was below and he almost appeared as an evil big horned sheep.
The girl was about to fall into the pit but then she said,"Lord, I believe in you, I trust you and I belong to you, not him." "Please Lord save me." Just then Gods Angels rejoiced in heaven, a rainbow stretched across the universe and wrapped around the earth. Gods hand parted the universe, came down from heaven and grabbed the woman's hand right before she fell into the dark pit of despair.
The Challenge:
Gods timing is perfect! Our salvation is like hanging from a cliff. We can ask for help or give up! This place called earth.... It's the cliff... It's our choice.

418 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Promote Death or Life?*
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world the love of the father is not within them." 1 John 2:15

It's so important for us not to be polluted by the world and what the world deems worthy and cool. There are a few things that I do not understand about our culture. Why do people wear crosses when they don't even follow Jesus but only mock him? It's like in the 80's when Madonna wore a cross yet came out with a raunchy sex book and a music video mocking Jesus.... The world loved this.. Right? the bought in to it but it does not match up!
The other thing I do not understand is the forever trend that lingers around of the skull and cross bones....  There is a reason it represents poison. Why does our culture want to wear this on shirts, necklaces and get tattoos of this? Because the world says it's neat? Cool? Hot? Sexy?

I saw a beautiful girl get a tattoo of a skull and bones on my social media yesterday...  this is what I wrote on her thread:

"So I've been curious why people choose to represent the skull and bones which signifies death?  We are to believe in everlasting life.... right? So why promote death? In the Bible... The hill that they sacrificed people on was called Golgotha - "place of the skulls." It was not a good place...  Jesus was sacrificed there. I think people wear these skulls as a trendy cool thing without thinking about what the relevance is....   Anyway, I honestly have been curious about this topic, randomly saw this post and wanted to see if anyone could shed a better light (then what I understand) of the skull symbol? It has always confused me."

The Challenge:
When you go to wear something or place something on your body for life think about its significance. Is the meaning going with the ways of the world? Trendy? Hip? Cool? It's vital that we know what we are representing for all to see.  Do you want to represent everlasting life with our father or represent your death? With Jesus we live on with Satan we die..

417 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Wisdom Comes at Night*
"Wisdom is better than strength" Ecclesiastes 9:16

I was sitting on my patio sketching while watching my children. I decided to sketch the owl who inspired me last night.
About a day ago I asked God to make me feel special and send something my way. I do not do this too often because I know I can't test him but I do faithfully believe in the verse ask and you shall receive. So I asked and as usual he sent a wink.
I have this owl that comes to visit me a few times a year. He comes around when I ask. Last night I randomly woke up in the middle of the night. I heard a hoo sound. I listened and heard the owl again outside my window. I know it's sounds strange but with my childlike faith I know my owl was sent at this perfect time to touch my heart and say hello from above. I felt so joyful, smiled and faded back to sleep.
I once asked my friend what to pray for when others are struggling she said for their strength. Strength is important yes but with strength we must also pray for their wisdom. Wisdom helps us feel more connected to where we are heading after this life. The owl has always represented wisdom and I believe the Holy Spirit shared much wisdom with me, last night, in between my sleep.
The Challenge:
Pray for strength but most importantly pray for wisdom to discern what the Holy Spirit is working to share with you. First practice by seeing God in the simplest of things like a sweet owl who hoo's outside your window.

416 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Cubs WIN Prophesy*
"When he opened the 7th seal there was silence in heaven for about half an hour." Revelation 8:1

Last night I got to see my favorite team since childhood win the World Series. The Chicago Cubs baseball team have not won the World Series in 108 years! Many times people thought the team was cursed well the curse is broken, they are now WINNERS!
This got me thinking how much sweeter the wait can sometimes be. When we're just handed things or things come too easy it's easy to not be thankful or appreciative. Last night the WIN was that much sweeter. The wait was long but the team was deserving. Gods timing was perfect and they were thankful.

With that said, last night may have fulfilled a prophesy in the Bible!  The Bible verse above says they broke past the seventh seal. Yes, the Cubs broke past the 7th game series and into overtime. Then the prophesy says there will be silence in heaven for about a half hour time. Before the 10th inning (overtime and past the 7th seal) could start rain came down so hard that they had to delay the World Series about a half hour. Coincidence? I'll let you be the judge...
The Challenge:
Read Revelations Chapter 8 today and see prophesies of the Bible coming to light.  Jesus awaited return has been long but maybe the World Serious fulfilled a prophesy which brings us closer to his return? Either way always be ready!

415 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Judgement Day*
"For God shall bring every work into judgement, with  every secret thing whether it be good or whether it be evil." Ecclesiastes 12:14

I've been feeling so light hearted and peaceful lately I was surprised when God called me to be so serious in my research last night. Him leading me toward searching about people who have seen Jesus took me off guard.
There was one man on YouTube named Rod Wright. His video had nearly 3,000,000 views. This man prayed for an outer body experience and God gave it too him.  Be careful what you pray for.
He was then transported out of his body and he got a glimpse of the rapture. He said, "It was terrifying." People were lined up in judgement and had never seeked the Lord or repented.
The video was intense but the one thing that grabbed my attention was when Rod talked about God's judgement. There was a blonde girl. God said, "I am not judging you for what you posted on Facebook but I'm judging you for the 300,000 people that you lead astray with that one post." "Their Blood is on your hands." She was then sent to Hell.
God told Rod that the reason why he showed him this was so he could come back and warn everyone of the truth, Jesus is coming and we must repent and be ready.  We don't know the day or the hour but with Christ we have no fear, keep our joy and look forward to his return!
It does not matter if you believe this story or not but what I do hope you have gathered from this story is that what you put into the world is a reflection of how you will be judged by our Lord in the end.
The Challenge:
Don't leave this world with blood on your hands. Repent today and flood the world with the Love only Jesus teaches!

414 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*Flesh or Spirit*
"Those who live according to the flesh have their mind set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the spirit have have their mind set on what the spirit desires." Romans 8:5

I was reading a bit of Romans Chapter 8 today and it talks about how when you accept Christ the spirit of God will lead you. This is where ones identity is found. This is when people reach their highest potential.
Let's look at a few Prophets as an example. When Moses found his identity in God he was able to be extraordinarily powerful. He parted the Red Sea and saved his people. Daniel was put into the lions den but by having his identity in God he was able to calm the lions and not get eaten. Once Paul crossed over and found his identity through Christ he was able to find peace even in the most unlikely places such as prison.
When people ask, "Why won't the lord help me... I say, "Well have you taken the time to be with him, tell him how your feeling and ask him to help you?" More often then not they say, No, I have not asked him to help me." Here's the thing about our Lord. He is a gentlemen! He will not impose himself upon your life until you seek him with all your heart and ask him to lead your way! He gives us a choice and our own free will! He waits patiently until you finally trust him enough to lean on him and not your own understanding!
The Challenge:
Read Romans Chapter 8 today. Are you following your flesh or the spirit?  What are ways one follows their flesh? What are the ways one follows The Spirit?
