569 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
-Lead to the gate of heaven!-
In all your ways acknowledge him and He will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:6

Why is repentance and outward expression of baptism so important?

Two days ago Hugh Hefner died at age 91. As many know Hugh is the owner and founder of the largest porn magazine and industry called playboy. Many on Facebook have applauded him and wished him RIP! This did not sit well with me or many Christian activist!
People say don't judge sure but God does want us to warn what sin is and what sin can do. I warned and went on to say if Hugh had a bedside redemption and gave his life to Jesus he may have made it to heaven. Based on the Bible and Jesus the fate is narrow but God himself told us how to get to heaven! We, at a age we can make decision for our self, must repent, ask for forgiveness and do an outward expression through baptism to cleanse our souls.
This got me thinking about why we should do this outward expression of baptism. One because our Lord himself did it around age 30 with John The Baptist. We want to follow his lead always. Two, sure Hugh Hefner was a sinner (we all are until forgiven by Jesus) and lead many astray but just think if he had changed his life! What if he repented! It's for God yes but it is also for others watching his journey. Then if he would have showed proof for his desire and seriousness to change in the form or outward baptism he could have changed the course of so many lives! He lead so many astray but once redeemed this means he could have also lead three times as many to the gates of heaven! The way we lead others is our choice and watched closely by God!
The Challenge:
Lead people to the gates of heaven! Do you feel guilt about leading people to hell? Repent, give your life to Jesus and show an outward expression of baptism! This will not only change your course but the course of 100's who follow your leadership, for in the end we all lead someone! Lead them to the gates of heaven, not to hell in a hand basket!

568 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
🌷Saved 🌷
There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10

I have a miracle story to share. I have a friend Ive been friends with for 10 years. I love her dearly. She has always claimed to be atheist. The last two years I have been praying for her. I try to share simple Bible concepts when I can. I even had the courage to share Lee Stobels story of being a former atheist and learning Jesus is the safer bet.
Yesterday I felt this overwhelming need to pray for her. I was riding in the car and just cried out to God! I said, "Lord take her heart! Take her heart now Lord" "Right now overwhelm her with your love."
Last night on the phone I'm not sure how it came up but she said she's now a believer. I was taken back and said, "Wait you believe in Jesus?" She smiled through the phone and said, "Yes!" In complete shock I said, "So you believe he died and came back in the flesh to save you and forgive you of all your sins?" She said, "Yes." I then asked if I could pray over her. When I got off the phone I'm not gonna lie I cried and ran around the house cheering and celebrating!
The Challenge:

Never give up sharing and praying for your friends and family who are unbelievers. We keep our hope and know Jesus Is a miracle worker!

Little Victories
With God we will gain the victory. Psalm 60:12

I shared yesterday the importance of getting alone time with Jesus. Tonight the Lord said come spend time with me. So I am on a coffee date this eve sipping on a Carmel frappe and spending time with my father.
This is my favorite time! Alone time with the one and only who can fill me up completely and make my cup runneth over. I'm feeling my energy back. Feeling like I'm in stride and at home in sharing Christ through social media. I know more challenging times will come but we are to celebrate our little victories! My life has changed! I once celebrated victories drinking beers in the bar only to feel depleted the next day! Now I celebrate with Him the one who calls me by name and strengths my walk not tear at it!
The Challenge:

Have a victory celebrate with a special treat and alone time in complete awe of our Lord and what He gifts when we follow Him and His teachings! Hallelujah! Victory after victory in Jesus name!

566 Days Saved  -  A Walk with Christ
-Tune In the Lord -
But Jesus often withdrew to Lonely places and prayed. John 5:16

We all know people who are afraid to be alone. Maybe it is you? They need to constantly have people around them because being alone with themselves terrifies them. Why is this? It's because they do not know themselves well enough to be okay with being alone.
Loneliness or being alone is actually a blessing. For all the prophets in the Bible it was through their loneliness of times when they were able to hear Gods voice. Moses was all alone on the mountain when he saw God in the burning bush! Job finally sought God out when he was alone and scared in the whale. Jesus would retreat to lonely places like the desert in order to spend time with God!
It is when we are alone or even feel lonely is when we can tune out the noisy world, tune out people's voices and finally hear our fathers voice. That small, still, quiet voice comes through when God has our attention in the midst of what we thought was loneliness.
The Challenge:
Find moments to be alone! Skip a Saturday night out with your usual social group! Go to dinner or a movie by yourself! Loneliness is a good thing because it teaches us how to tune out the world and instead tune in our Lord!

565 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
God Gives Uniquely
I do not give to you as the world gives to you. John 14:27

I'm at a place in my walk now where I have truly learned to be more content. Content with my life, where it is and where it's going. You see God promises He does not give to us like the world does. Based upon world standards I may not be showing great success as far a financial gain in the work I have done but honestly non of that matters.
I am truly doing things that I love and truly trusting God and what His plan is. This is why it's such a relief in walking with the Lord. Handing over everything both successes and failures. Knowing no matter what happens He will provide and be proud we are walking in the spirit and not seeking approval and applause from the world.
The Challenge.

Love all parts of your walk! Enjoy the successes as well as the flops! Know God is in control and it does not matter if we rise or fall for it's His will for us no longer our own!

🌷God, I Have a Question🌷
Do not let your hearts be troubled, trust in God. John 14:1

One of my Facebook friends emailed this to me the other day, I have the greatest Facebook friends! Thank you Tina!

Man: God, can I ask You a question?
😝😳
God: Sure
😌
Man: Promise You won’t get mad …
😒
God: I promise
😌
Man: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
😒
God: What do u mean?
😒
Man: Well, I woke up late
😳
God: Yes
😒
Man: My car took forever to start
😳
God: Okay
😒
Man: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
😳
God: Huummm
😒
Man: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call
😁
God: All right
😒
Man: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn’t work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
😰
God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
😊
Man (humbled): OH
😔
GOD: I didn’t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
😊
Man: (ashamed)
😒
God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn’t want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn’t afford to miss work.
😊
Man (embarrassed): Okay
😒
God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn’t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
😊
Man (softly): I see God
😒
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn’t think you wanted to be in the dark.
😀
Man: I’m Sorry God
👏
God: Don’t be sorry, just learn to Trust Me…. in All things , the Good & the bad.
♨💥
Man: I will trust You.
👏
God: And don’t doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
♨💥
Man: I won’t God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
♨💥
God: You’re welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children…
The Challenge:

Do you believe God has His angels tending to you and protecting you each day?

563 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*In Memory of 911*
Do not be afraid I am with you. Isaiah 43:5

Today is 9-11 and I shared this on my wall:

I was a sophomore in college at the University of Iowa and only 19 years old. I woke up alone in my dorm room. As I left a girl in my hall said, "Did you hear?" "Hear what," I said, very confused. She then told me that two planes crashed into the twin towers in New York City.
I got into the bus and felt very small. In our class everyone was so quiet. That afternoon my friend Megan McFadden sat in the IMU staring and balling her eyes out at the tv. Someone took her picture of her watching the twin towers burn on tv.  Her picture ended up being in all the news papers world wide. She was so very emotional while I just felt confused and numb.  I am not sure why I felt so out of touch but for me it didn't feel real.
The Challenge:

911 Where Were You?  There is no guarantees that hardships and scary times won't come but God promises he's right by our side.
562 Days Saved - A Walk with Christ
*For You or God?*
Submit yourselves therefore to God. James 4:7

Today I woke up and the message to me from the Holy Spirit was very clear. Here is what he He reiterated to me.

In walking with God it's a daily submission of what He needs; NOT what I want for myself! We come into this world selfish so it is a great big learning curve.

Far too often we are concerned with what we feel and what we desire. This is wrong! If we live this way we will go down the wrong road. There are many religions that speak all about improving self but this is not the message our God shares.

The message our God shares is one of depending upon Him. Digging In daily through prayer and asking Him what He wants of you in that very moment.

The Challenge:
When you are questioning a decision be sure to dig deep and ask yourself are you doing it for your own fleshy desires or for God and furthering His kingdom?
